A NOTE ABOUT OUR ECO-FRIENDLY VELLUM After much research, the best vellum we have found is Glama Natural Vellum, made from 30% PCW recycled fibers, 70% cellulous fibers, and processed without chlorine by Schoellershammer Paper Mill in Duren, Germany. The mill produces as much as 95% of its electrical power from a specially engineered furnace which burns lignite instead of oil. Uniquely designed filters limit emissions to 50% below government standards. All water taken from the Rur River for paper production is treated and returned to the river in nearly drinking water quality. The mill recycles 600 tons of paper per day. All of this allows the Schoellershammer Mill to be one of Europe's finest examples of Earth stewardship. |
